The Abyssal Fracture
The Abyssal Fracture is a level 90 trial introduced in Patch 6.5, serving as the final trial of the Endwalker expansion. Players face Zeromus, a Voidsent created using Azdaja’s aether. The arena is a square with no borders—falling off results in instant death (though resurrection is possible).
Zeromus
Phase 1
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Abyssal Nox | Raidwide | Sets all party members to 1 HP and inflicts Doom with a 20-second timer. Cleanse Doom by healing targets to full HP while avoiding circle AoEs from purple light rays. |
| Sable Thread | Stack | Line stack marker targeting a random player. Group up and heal through multiple damage instances. |
| Visceral Whirl | AoE | Two perpendicular line AoEs with safe spots in opposing corners of the arena. |
| Dark Matter | Tankbuster | Heavy tankbuster on the main tank. Use defensive cooldowns and position away from the party. |
| Flare | Stack | A pillar appears with a stack marker. Group up to split the AoE damage, then dodge line AoEs from the resulting fireball. |
| Nox | AoE | Targets a random player with a chasing AoE. Keep moving to avoid damage. |
| Void Bio | AoE | Summons orbs that slowly move across the arena. Dodge while repositioning for other mechanics. |
Phase 2
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Big Bang | Raidwide | Massive raidwide magic damage that also reduces maximum HP. Use heavy mitigation. |
| Acceleration Bomb | AoE | Debuff requiring players to stop all actions when it expires, or take heavy damage. |
| Divisive Dark | AoE | Debuff that must be managed alongside Acceleration Bomb. Position carefully before both resolve. |
Notes: Healers must prioritize removing Doom during Abyssal Nox—getting everyone to full HP is critical. The arena has no edges, so be especially careful during mechanics that require repositioning near the boundaries.
