Omega: Deltascape V2.0
The second floor of Omega: Deltascape featuring Catastrophe, a gravity-manipulating boss. Players receive a special Levitate action that is central to avoiding mechanics throughout the fight.
Catastrophe
A large floating eye-creature that uses gravity-based attacks requiring mastery of the Levitate duty action.
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Evilsphere | Tankbuster | Heavy damage on main tank - use cooldowns |
| Tremblor | Raidwide | Raid-wide AoE damage - heal through |
| Gravitational Wave | Raidwide | Raid-wide AoE damage - heal through |
| Demon Eye | Gaze | Damages players looking at boss - turn away when cast begins |
| Epicenter | Raidwide | Platform-wide AoE requiring heavy healing |
| Antilight (Purple) | AoE | Purple orbs deal damage on ground - use Levitate to avoid |
| Antilight (Gold) | AoE | Gold orbs deal damage in air - stay grounded |
| Antilight (Mixed) | AoE | Purple and gold orbs - move to center or safe zones |
| Earthquake | AoE | Ground-based attack - use Levitate to avoid |
| Aetherial Rift | AoE | Causes sinking - use Levitate to prevent falling |
| Gravitational Explosion | Stack | Stack at same elevation as marker - use Levitate if marker is in air |
| Maniacal Probe | AoE | Four tentacles spawn in corners - stack on the one without an eye |
Strategy:
- Position boss halfway toward edge so DPS/healers can stand center
- Master the timing of Levitate for purple vs gold orbs
- For Demon Eye, simply turn your character around
- During Maniacal Probe, quickly identify the eyeless tentacle and stack there
Notes: The key to this fight is understanding when to use Levitate. Purple orbs = float, gold orbs = stay grounded. Getting this backwards will result in heavy damage or death.
