Eden's Gate: Descent
The second floor of Eden’s Gate introduces the unique Spell-in-Waiting mechanic, where the boss delays attacks by up to 30 seconds. Players must track delayed abilities and react accordingly.
Voidwalker
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Spell-in-Waiting | AoE | Delays abilities by up to 30 seconds - watch for visual indicators |
| Doomvoid Guillotine | Cleave | Column AoE with adds - dodge to the sides |
| Doomvoid Slicer | AoE | Arena-wide AoE with adds - avoid the danger zones |
| Dark Fire III | Spread | Purple markers on four players - spread out |
| Unholy Darkness | Stack | White/gold markers - stack together with party |
| Shadoweye | Gaze | Face away from the targeted player |
| Hand of Erebos | Knockback | Stand next to the hand to avoid being flung across arena |
| Entropy | Raidwide | Raid-wide damage - heal through |
| Shadowflame | Tankbuster | Tank buster - use cooldowns |
Strategy:
- Pay close attention to Spell-in-Waiting - it affects whether you stack or spread
- When Dark Fire III appears, spread to avoid overlapping damage
- For Unholy Darkness, stack with the party
- Shadoweye requires looking away from the affected player, not the boss
- Stand near Hand of Erebos to avoid the knockback
Notes: The fight is split into two phases. The key to success is tracking which abilities are delayed by Spell-in-Waiting. Normal mode is forgiving once you understand the core mechanic.
