The Binding Coil of Bahamut - Turn 2
Turn 2 is a unique timed encounter with a 12-minute limit featuring 6 mini-boss nodes leading to the final ADS boss. Strategic route planning is essential.
Node System
When you kill a mini-boss node, two things happen:
- That node’s unique ability is removed from the final ADS boss
- ADS gains a passive buff from that node
This creates a trade-off: eliminating dangerous abilities makes the boss stronger overall.
All Nodes - Shared Abilities
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Frontal Cleave | Cleave | Applies stacking debuff increasing damage taken, refreshes with each hit |
| High Voltage | Raidwide | Room-wide AoE causing damage and paralysis - must be silenced every time |
| Repelling Cannons | AoE | 360-degree close-range AoE around the node |
| Piercing Laser | AoE | Long-range rectangular attack that must be avoided |
Tank Swap Mechanic
The stacking debuff from cleaves requires constant tank swaps:
- Position tanks so cleaves don’t hit both
- Off-tank Provokes when main tank signals (often by jumping)
- Swap at dangerous debuff levels (~3+ stacks)
ADS (Final Boss)
After defeating nodes (minimum 1 required), face the final ADS boss. It will have:
- All abilities from nodes you didn’t kill
- Passive buffs from nodes you did kill
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| High Voltage | Raidwide | Must be silenced - causes paralysis and heavy damage |
| Vacuum Wave | Knockback | Radial knockback from boss (removed by killing specific node) |
| Chain Lightning | Spread | Spreads between nearby players (removed by killing specific node) |
| Firestream | AoE | Linear fire attack (removed by killing specific node) |
| Ballast | AoE | Large directional attack (removed by killing specific node) |
Notes:
- Bring at least two silencers (Bards work well) for High Voltage
- Two primary viable routes exist - choose based on which abilities you want removed
- Recommended composition: 2 tanks, 2 healers, 4 DPS
- You cannot kill all nodes within the time limit - plan your route carefully
