Hippokampos

A water-themed fight that introduces arena flooding mechanics and teaches players to manage knockbacks and positioning.

Tainted FloodSpreadPlaces marked AoEs on players - spread apart to avoid overlapping
Predatory SightStackAll players marked with triangle stack markers - must stack with at least one other player or take heavy damage

Arena Flooding (Sewage Deluge)

The signature mechanic of this fight:

  1. Massive raidwide damage hits the party
  2. Arena floods - standing in water applies Dropsy DoT
  3. Only safe spots: Raised platforms and drain grates
  4. Position early to avoid scrambling during the flood phase

Dissociation + Cataract

This combination requires watching multiple elements:

  1. Head detaches and appears at arena edge
  2. Watch head facing - it will dash across that direction
  3. Body performs cataract - avoid the line AoE
  4. Find the safe zone that avoids both the head’s dash path and the body’s attack

Tips

  • The arena walls instantly kill - never get knocked into them
  • For Doubled Impact, both tanks must stack and use cooldowns
  • During Predatory Sight, pair up quickly - being alone means heavy damage
  • Watch the boss’s head position during Dissociation for the dash direction
  • Healers prepare heavy healing for Sewage Deluge as it hits hard
