Alexander: Gordias - The Burden of the Father
The fourth and final floor of Alexander: Gordias, featuring The Manipulator - a massive mechanical boss fought in three phases. Destroy its legs before attacking the main body.
The Manipulator
A three-phase encounter requiring coordination for orbs, adds, and the Quarantine mechanic.
Phase 1 - First Leg
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Leg Focus | Adds | Focus one leg at a time - the other fully heals when destroyed |
| Blue Orbs | AoE | Player targeted with blue orb marker; orbs spawn from edges and move toward them |
| Orb Absorption | Stack | Players run into orbs to explode them - tanks absorb most, DPS/healers take 1-2 |
| Splash Damage | Spread | All attacks deal splash - melee and ranged spread out |
Phase 2 - Second Leg
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Laser Adds | AoE | Three untargetable adds target players with orange lines |
| Laser Intercept | Stack | At least 2 lines must be intercepted by other players; targeted player stops moving |
| Jagd Dolls | Adds | Three adds spawn at arena edges - kill immediately |
| Luminous Aetheroplasm | AoE | Debuff from Jagd Dolls - 4 stacks = instant death |
| Quarantine | Adds | One DPS and off-tank sent to separate room to fight add |
Phase 3 - The Manipulator
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| All Previous Mechanics | AoE | Orbs, lasers return (except Jagd Dolls and Quarantine) |
| Carnage Zero | Raidwide | Random splash damage throughout the arena |
| Judgement Nisi | Spread | Debuff on both healers - stand on opposite ends of room |
Strategy:
- Phase 1: Focus one leg, absorb orbs (tanks take most), spread to avoid splash
- Phase 2: Handle lasers by intercepting lines, kill Jagd Dolls quickly and separately
- Assign specific players to each Jagd Doll to prevent stacking Luminous Aetheroplasm
- Quarantined players must survive and kill their add - they cannot be revived if they die
- Phase 3: Healers spread to opposite sides for Judgement Nisi
- Continue spreading and healing through heavy damage in final phase
Quarantine Notes:
- The boss targets one DPS and the off-tank to be “Quarantined”
- They are sent through a pipe to fight an add in a separate room
- If quarantined players die, they cannot be revived
- Ensure quarantined players can self-sustain or have defensive cooldowns ready
Notes: The most mechanically dense fight in Gordias. Success requires proper orb management, quick Jagd Doll kills with assigned players, and healers positioning correctly for Judgement Nisi.
