Aetheric Polyominoid (Grid Mechanic)

The core positioning mechanic:

  1. Spikes appear at intercardinal positions
  2. Lines indicate which squares will be hit
  3. Later variant (Aetheric Sigma): Staves swap impact zones with tethered staves right before resolution
  4. Watch the telegraphs and stand on safe squares

Transmission (Infection Mechanic)

A two-part mechanic requiring coordination:

  1. First group (4 players) gets Glossomorph debuff
  2. When debuff expires, players freeze in place and fire a conal AoE in their facing direction
  3. Turn away from party to avoid cleaving allies
  4. Second group gets infected as first resolves
  5. Both groups must point their cones safely

Choros Ixou (Hand Mechanic)

Watch the boss’s hands:

  1. Hands glow toward cardinal or intercardinal directions
  2. Conal AoEs fire in those directions
  3. Check the boss’s target circle orientation to determine safe spots
  4. Move to positions not covered by the hand indicators

Tips

  • Use the 16-square grid for precise positioning
  • For Transmission, face outward or toward walls when frozen
  • Track hand positions for Choros Ixou safe spots
  • Tanks should spread for individual tankbusters
  • Watch for staff tethers that swap AoE positions
  • The grid layout makes positioning predictable once learned
