Abyssos: The Seventh Circle
The third encounter of the Abyssos raid tier. Agdistis, a hemitheos taking the form of a massive tree creature, transforms the arena during the fight and summons various adds.
Agdistis
A nature-themed fight featuring arena transformation, add management, and exaflare-style dodging. The circular arena becomes three raised platforms connected by bridges.
Key Mechanics
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Spark of Life | Raidwide | Heavy raidwide damage that inflicts an 8-second bleed DoT - requires heavy healing |
| Hemitheos’s Aero III | Tankbuster | Tank buster attacks on both tanks - use defensive cooldowns |
| Hemitheos’s Holy | Spread | Places AoE markers on all players - spread to avoid overlapping |
| Hemitheos’s Glare III | AoE | Donut AoE in the center of the arena - move out of center |
| Bough of Attis | Cleave | Boss slams hands. If pulled back, slams front with line AoEs. If brought forward, slams back |
| Immortal’s Obol | AoE | Proximity marker that transforms arena into three platforms with bridges |
| Forbidden Fruit | Adds | Summons untargetable adds on each platform with different attack patterns |
| Blades of Attis | AoE | Exaflare-style AoEs moving across arena - dodge and reposition into origin points |
Bough of Attis (Hand Slam)
Watch the boss’s arm position:
- Arms pulled back: Boss will slam the front half, creating line AoEs in indicated directions - move behind
- Arms forward: Boss will slam the back half - move to the front
- Watch for directional indicators showing where line AoEs will travel
Immortal’s Obol (Arena Transformation)
The arena changes dramatically:
- Proximity marker appears - move away from center
- Arena transforms into three raised platforms with connecting bridges
- Falling off means death - stay on platforms and bridges
- Fight continues on this new layout until arena restores
Forbidden Fruit (Add Patterns)
Adds spawn on platforms with specific attacks:
- Immature Ios (Rams): Perform circle AoEs centered on their platform - move away
- Immature Stymphalides (Birds): Perform line AoEs in their facing direction - avoid their front
Blades of Attis (Exaflares)
Moving AoE pattern:
- AoEs spawn and begin moving across the arena
- Dodge the initial hits then move into where they started
- Continue repositioning as the exaflares travel across platforms
Tips
- Position for Bough of Attis based on arm animation
- During platform phase, stay aware of edges - falling is death
- Track add types and their attack patterns
- For exaflares, move into the origin points after first explosions
- Healers prepare for Spark of Life’s heavy damage plus bleed
- Use bridges carefully during platform phase mechanics
