Ruby Glow (Reflection Mechanic)

The core mechanic of this fight:

  1. Wall appears splitting the arena in half
  2. Certain attacks reflect off this wall
  3. Searing Ray reflects - if boss cleaves toward wall, the attack bounces back
  4. Topaz Stones reflect - gems create AoEs on both sides of wall
  5. Position based on reflection - sometimes the reflected attack is the danger

Phase Transition

After Acidic Slaver:

  1. Topaz Stones become Toxic - they create growing poison pools
  2. Poison pools do NOT reflect - only original placement matters
  3. Boss uses more aggressive patterns combining multiple mechanics

Tips

  • Assign clock positions (tanks N/S, healers E/W, DPS intercardinals)
  • Split into light parties for certain mechanics
  • For Searing Ray, check if wall is up and position accordingly
  • Watch gem landing spots and their reflection points
  • During Devour, assigned players must soak cardinal puddles
  • Keep mobile to avoid growing poison pools in Phase 2
