The Aitiascope
A dungeon set within the Aitiascope, a device that allows passage through the aetherial sea. Players encounter familiar foes from Garlean history, now manifested as undying spirits blocking the path forward.
Livia the Undeterred
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Aglaea Bite | Tankbuster | High damage on tank; use cooldowns |
| Frustration | Raidwide | Unavoidable group-wide AoE; healers prepare |
| Aglaea Climb | AoE | Two of four tentacles glow and cleave those quadrants; move to unglowing quarters |
| Aglaea Shot | AoE | Four line AoEs that leave Aethershot trails; avoid initial attacks and trails |
| Odi Et Amo | Spread | Two players get circle AoE markers; spread out |
| Ignis Odi | Stack | Stack marker follows Odi Et Amo; group on marked player |
| Disparagement | Cleave | Frontal cone AoE after stack mechanic; get behind boss |
Notes: Watch the tentacle glow pattern during Aglaea Climb. The sequence of Odi Et Amo into Ignis Odi requires spreading for the circles, then immediately stacking for the follow-up.
Rhitahtyn the Unshakable
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Anvil of Tartarus | Tankbuster | High damage on tank; use cooldowns |
| Tartarean Impact | Raidwide | Unavoidable group-wide AoE; healers prepare |
| Vexillatio | AoE | Raises arena edges and summons four crystals |
| Shield Skewer | AoE | Boss charges down center; one crystal drains faster and will be destroyed—stand in that area |
| Tartarean Spark | AoE | Line AoE targeted at random player; spread out |
Notes: During Shield Skewer, watch the four crystals carefully. One will drain noticeably faster than the others—that crystal will shatter and create a safe zone from the charge.
Amon the Undying
| Mechanic | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Dark Forte | Tankbuster | High damage on tank; use cooldowns |
| Entr’acte | Raidwide | High damage unavoidable AoE; healers prepare heavy mitigation |
| Eruption Forte | AoE | Circle AoEs under two players; spread to avoid overlap |
| Firaga Forte | Cleave | Left or right side cleave; move to safe half |
| Thundaga Forte | AoE | Circular waves from center split into eighths at different speeds; stand where first wave reaches edge |
| Curtain Call | Gaze | Must line-of-sight this attack using the spawned ice block |
Notes: Entr’acte hits very hard—use heavy mitigation. For Curtain Call, hide behind the ice block or you will take massive damage. Thundaga Forte requires watching wave speeds to find the safe zone.
